Mayor Kepics had a vision for creating a "Beautification Award" for city residents to showcase the exterior assets of their properties.  The Award rules, judging, and selection committee are being overseen by the member of Monongahela City Council that is responsible for Parks and Recreation -  Claudia Williams.  The very first award was granted in the Month of July to Ms. Norma Augustine of Lincoln Street.  To view the first winner, click here.  The Beautification Award is also showcased in a July 20, 2008 article in the Tribune Review.  A link to that article is provided here for your convenience.
